茄子の葉が、ついにテントウムシダマシ類の攻撃でズタズタに。
無農薬野菜栽培で、スミチオン乳剤等の農薬は使用したくなかったので。
家庭菜園での病虫害対策は、コンパニオンプランツでも知られています。
今回は、農薬以外の効果的な駆除方法を牛乳で試してみました。
これ以上病虫害対策が遅れると、間もなく茄子は枯れてしまうでしょう。
まずは敵を知ると言うことで、茄子の葉の裏をチェックしました。
まあ、いるわいるわで、こんなにもテントウムシダマシの幼虫が。
無農薬栽培の難しさ、病害虫対策の重要性を実感しました。
テントウムシダマシ類の被害は、葉を食い尽くし、果実まで変形するとか。
成虫は28個の黒い斑紋をもち、このテントウムシも葉肉を食害するとか。
防除法としては、薬剤は葉裏を中心に散布するのが一般的とか。
付近にジャガイモがあると、茎葉が枯れ上がり成虫が移動してくるとも。
