家庭菜園のナスの害虫を無農薬で駆除する方法にチャレンジです。
今回の害虫は、葉肉を食害するテントウムシダマシ類を牛乳で駆除です。
牛乳と水とを１：１の比率にし、スプレーで幼虫に吹きかけます。
牛乳が乾き、幼虫に皮膜を作り窒息させるという方法です。
幼虫も成虫も食害するので、農薬としてはスミチオン乳剤を使用します。
スミチオン乳剤は、1000～2000倍に希釈して使用するのが一般的。
無農薬栽培なので、今回は牛乳を吹きかけるという駆除方法です。
効果の程は不明ですが、一般的には知られた駆除方法です。
ただ、後の処理として牛乳は洗い流してやるのがベストかも。
実際に吹きかけると動きが止まり、簡単に取りのぞくことができます。
ペットボトルの口を近づけると、ポトリと底に落ちていきました。
集めてみてビックリ、こんなにもナスは被害に遭っていたのですね。
有機肥料を使い、無農薬栽培することの難しさを痛感しています。
ナスの害虫は、ハダニやカメムシ、アブラムシ対策も重要です。
さあ、無農薬・有機栽培がどこまで可能か、更にチャレンジです。
